On Wednesday 1 August the R@W Awards took place at PHS. These awards taught me a lot about organising students/collegues and getting things done in time. It made me realize what I can do, and if I put myself out there I CAN do it!
An amazing experience!
I came away from the night re-invigorated with using ICT in the classroom in different ways. I need to continue working with the kids on Powerpoint and Publisher as these programmes really are the basis of a lot of others. I would really like to start using Comic Life, or something similar. I think this would really appeal to the kids - especially the boys... maybe I could fit this into our narrative unit. If that doesn't work, I will try to work in a unit using Graphic Novels next term.
